pre-halloween costume

What a cute little way to let your girls dress up in Halloween gear before the actual day of their real costumes. You can totally customize the colors and the applique on the shirt. I think my tutus will be purple, black and lime green with a little Frankenstein face on the shirt. Can't wait to get started. Check it out on Trey and Lucy.

fabric yo yo's

Because I really don't know how to sew, I love finding fabric projects that I can do with my sweet hand sewing skills. These fabric yo yo's are the cutest and easiest embellishment for any project. Check out a tutorial for the yo yo's here by Heather Bailey.
Here are just two fun projects using the yo yo's - a cute pillow and a fun garland. Both of these projects were found on Sew Mama Sew. I have seen these on towels, cards, hair bows, the possibilities are endless... so let your creativity take over and have fun!

beautiful scarf/shawl

Love this scarf and love the netting material that it is made out of. Even better it doubles as a shawl. You can make one of your own with this tutorial from Pretty Ditty.
