One of my try loves in life...cupcakes. I found a template for these cute cupcake wrappers and had to try them immediately. Thankfully I had all the activity girls coming over so I had an excuse to make a batch of cupcakes. Check it out at Snow and Graham.

back to school...

My brain is in full back to school mode. My oldest is starting kindergarten and my little baby (not really a baby anymore) is starting preschool. I am going to try really hard not to cry...I can tell you already that I will 100% not succeed in this.

I know that this blog has been lacking in the posts department, but it is for good reason. FAMILY. I have been on vacation for almost the last month and lucky for me the fun continues the next few weeks. I decided to focus my attentions totally on those around me and pick up on the blog in a few weeks. I promise I will be back to my posting everyday self real soon.

DIY chandelier

After a two week vacation we are back and ready to start posting.

I came across this chandelier yesterday and fell in love. Check out the tutorial at My House of Giggles.

mustache mug tutorial

A fun, easy and silly gift to give the cute men in our lives this Father's Day.

First, draw a mustache on the top of your mug with a sharpie marker. As you can see mine took a couple times to get right.

Second, trace around the edges of the drawn mustache with your Pebeo pen.

Next, fill in the mustache with your Pebeo gel stain.

This is a picture of one coat.

Be patient because it will take a couple of coats to get the look you are going for.

Lastly, follow the directions of the stain. Mine said to bake at 300 for 30 minutes.

Ta Da...the cutest little mug I have ever seen.

Fill with a favorite drink or candy and pass it on to the men in your life.

I have been wanting to make some of these mod podge books for awhile now, but you know how that goes. Yesterday a few of my friends came over and we each left with our own cute set of mod podged books. Mine are sitting nicely in my bedroom on my thrifted vintage suitcase.
