fall lunch

Yesterday I had a fun fall party with a few of my friends and their kids. The kids munched on some grilled cheese sandwiches while the mom's enjoyed some of my favorite butternut squash soup and sun-dried tomato, fresh mozzarella and pesto panini's (inspired by Pizzeria 712).

Our little center pieces where made from some wax paper crayon leaves , a DI vase, and some sticks from the backyard. My girls helped me with this little project and loved seeing them displayed.

DIY Oscar party

I will admit that one of my favorite times of year is Awards Season. I am a junkie and always watch, and then call my sister the next morning and we spend hours talking about all the good and bad. grilled cheese tomato soup

The perfect combination and one of my favorite foods. I like to also put tomatoes on my grilled cheese. I am so serving this as an appetizer at my next party. I found this great idea at A Cup of Jo.

Dr. Seuss cupcakes

I want to have a Dr. Seuss party just so that I can make these cupcakes. Or I could just go to the library check out a bunch of Dr. Seuss books, read them with my girls and then make these cupcakes for dessert. Yup, that is what I will do. Check them out at Kitchen DoughDough.
