pillowcase shirt

I have talked many times on this blog about my lack of sewing skills. A few months ago I got a knock on my door with a package addressed to me...ummmm I didn't order anything. I opened up the package and inside was a brand new sewing machine, courtesy of my sweet husband. Just so you all know this was my very first sewing machine. I was very excited to see if I had any skills. The answer to that is I will need a lot of practice, however I did manage to bust out this little baby the other day. This little shirt if full of flaws but my little six year old was so excited about it and begged to wear it to school. In the end, I was proud of myself that I actually created something that was functioning :)
